Individual arrival at Barcelona airport from where you will receive a transfer to your Barcelona hotel for overnight. If you feel up to it, during your free time you can get to know one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities. In the evening, we will dine at the Pueblo Español, an atmospheric open-air museum, a reconstructed village with typical buildings from all regions of Spain. The PREMIUM PACKAGE includes dinner tonight. Overnight in Barcelona.
After breakfast we will have a guided tour of Barcelona, a bustling and interesting city with cosmopolitan atmosphere including the ancient Gothic Quarter with its magnificent cathedral. Stop to admire the exterior of Gaudi’s masterwork, the Basilica of the Sacred Family (Sagrada Familia). Continue to Montjuich Hill (site of the Olympic Stadium), to enjoy a spectacular view of Barcelona and its port area. Free time for lunch, perhaps in the Olympic Port area. Lunch is included today in the PREMIUM PACKAGE. Afternoon free to explore on your own. Accommodation.
Buffet breakfast. Departure into old Aragon and into the proud city of Zaragoza. We will stop downtown near the main plaza where you will have free time to visit the impressive Basilica of El Pilar and have lunch on your own. Continue on to the north coast and the beautiful Basque country, arriving to San Sebastian called “the Pearl of the Cantabria see”. Free time to stroll around the promenade, do some shopping or relax at a seaside cafe. Continuation to Bilbao. Check into the hotel, free time. PREMIUN PACKAGE INCLUDES TONIGHT THE DINNER.
Buffet Breakfast. Short panoramic tour of the city and free time to visit the Guggenheim Museum (on your own) PREMIUM PACKAGE INCLUDES THE ENTRANCE to the GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM. Departure to the region of Cantabria and the small town of Santillana del Mar, famous for its many well-preserved medieval buildings and a unique medieval ambiance. Free time at the seaside village of Santillana, (PREMIUN PACKAGE INCLUDES LUNCH IN SANTILLANA) before leaving to los Picos de Europa, one of the most spectacular landscapes of Spain, to visit the shrine of Covadonga. This evening we will overnight in Oviedo the capital of Asturias, famous for its town walls from where you can have an excellent panorama of the city.
Buffet Breakfast and following the green north coast departure to Ribadeo leaving the province of Asturias and entering Galicia. We will stop at the Playa de Catedrales, a beach known for its amazing rock formations that are only visible during low tide. Continue via Vilalba to Betanzos, a pleasant historic town in Galicia built at the confluence of two river and has been occupied since pre-Roman times. Here we have free time for lunch on your own. Next stop is the major city and port of A Coruna, then we continue to today’s final destination, world famous Santiago de Compostela, a very important pilgrimage destination and World Heritage Site. Check into your hotel in Santiago, the rest of the day free for own activities.
After breakfast we will visit the city of Santiago and the famous cathedral with a local guide. See Obradoiro square and the Mercado de Abastos. Afternoon free to explore the old city on your own Tonight we have an optional Galician dinner at the hotel. (PREMIUM PACKAGE includes dinner). Accommodation.

Departure toward the Galician south coast and the city of Vigo and Rias Bajas for a spectacular view overlooking Portugal and the estuary of the rivers entering the Pacific, then crossing the Portugal frontier we arrive at Viana do Castelo to visit the historical center with the castle. Free time and continuation of our trip to Porto the beautiful and rich city of the north Portugal, noted for its namesake Port wines. Overnight in Porto.
Buffet breakfast followed by a guided tour of the old city including visit to a local winery. Afternoon free to continue exploring or strolling around in the old town along the shores of the Douro river or relaxing at your hotel. PREMIUM PACKAGE includes a typical lunch. Overnight in Porto.
Buffet breakfast. Departure to Aveiro, the city of canals and bridges, Portugal’s Venice. Continue to the famed shrine of Fatima. Free time for lunch (PREMIUM PACKAGE includes luncheon) and to visit the basilica on your own. Drive to Lisbon. Accommodations. Tonight, enjoy an optional opportunity and attend a FADO show and listen to the movingly beautiful songs of longing wives, a type of musical genre that originated in a long gone area with roots back to the Era of Discoveries. (15th century) During your show you will enjoy a typical Portuguese dinner. PREMIUM PACKAGE includes Fado show and dinner. Accommodation.
Buffet breakfast. Morning tour of this ancient and lovely city overlooking the Tagus River. Admire its splendid avenues and monuments like the Tower of Belem and the Jeronimos Monastery, world heritage monuments. Afternoon free. If you wish, you can join our optional tour to the west coast area near Lisbon to the towns of Sintra and Cascais. (this tour included in PREMIUM PACKAGE). Accommodation in Lisbon.
Buffet breakfast. Departure toward the Spanish border and stop at Merida at the impressive Roman Amphitheatre archeological site listed on UNESCO World Heritage list. Merida was built for Roman legionaries and their families and once was the capital of Lusitania, the Latin name for the area of today’s Portugal. Free time. Lunch in Merida is included with the PREMIUM PACKAGE. Continue to Madrid Accommodation.
After breakfast during the Madrid city tour you will see some of Madrid’s most outstanding attractions, like the Puerta del Sol, the magnificent fountains of Neptune and Cibeles, the stately Alcala Gate, the busy Gran Via, the Plaza de España and the Plaza de Oriente. Free afternoon to explore Madrid’s famous Art Museums or take an optional tour to the Imperial former capital city of Toledo, where you we will walk through its narrow cobblestone streets, soaking up the medieval atmosphere. Toledo flourished in the early Middle Ages where residents of three religions used to live in harmony. Touring will include the interior of the magnificent Gothic cathedral and a visit to St. Tome Church, where El Greco’s masterpiece painting is displayed. Return to Madrid, overnight.
