Greeting at Madrid airport and transfer to your hotel, free time and overnight in Madrid
After breakfast a morning panoramic city tour of Madrid to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the Cibeles Square and the Gran Via Avenue, to end in the Orient Square. We will make a stop at the Devod Temple, Plaza Mayor and the Ventas Bull Ring. Next, we continue to Columbus Square for a beverage at the Hard Rock Café. The afternoon is at leisure or optional excursion to the El Escorial Palace outside of Madrid.
Departure towards La Mancha. Brief stop at the typical site of Don Quixote. Continue towards the south of Spain, crossing through the impressive gorge of Despeñaperros, gateway to the n Region. Our next stop will be in Cordoba, declared World Heritage town where we will have a guided tour with our local guide. We will stroll around the white-washed Jewish Quarters with its hidden patios, then visit the world renowned Mosque (entrance included). In the afternoon proceed to Seville. Overnight. Time at leisure in Andalucía’s main city, home of Carmen and San Juan.
Breakfast is followed by a morning panoramic and a city monument tour, driving by Maria Luisas Park, The University, Americas Square and The Pavillions built in 1929 for the Ibero /American Fair. We continue on foot from the Murillo Gardens towards the old “Santa Cruz” quarters. The proceed to the Cathedral (entrance included) where we will also see the symbol of Seville, The Giralda Tower once the minaret of the Mosque and today the belfry of the Cathedral. The afternoon at your leisure where you can attend an optional artistic tour or visit the Alcazar Royal Palace. In the late afternoon, there is an optional Flamenco Show.
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Granada which is located on the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Tour of the Alhambra, the former stronghold of Moorish kings and the most visited monument in Spain where we will be seeing the Nazarite Palaces and the Generalife Gardens with their lace like rooms and lovely gardens.(entrance included).
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Toledo. Tour of this monumental city declared World Heritage. On arrival panoramic drive around Toledo and then proceed on foot to visit the historical old town. We will enter the Cathedral – entrance included, the Santo Tome which in its interior holds one of the masterpieces of El Greco, “The burial of the count of Orgaz”- entrance included – and finally we will proceed towards the former Jewish Quarters to see the synagogue of St. Maria La Blanca. Afternoon departure to Madrid. Overnight
