Arrival on your own at Madrid airport. Transfer to your hotel, free time and overnight in Madrid


After breakfast a morning panoramic city tour of Madrid to visit the Spain Square, the University Complex, the West park, Casa de campo, the Moorish Quarters, Orient Square, Sun Gate, Neptune, Atocha, Alacala gate, Ventas Bull ring, Columbus sq., Gran Via, etc. Afternoon is at leisure or optional excursion to the El Escorial Palace outside of Madrid or Toledo

Day 3MADRID – AVILA – SALAMANCA (5 Day Tour Begins)

9 a.m. departure to Ávila, World Heritage Site and birthplace of Santa Teresa de Jesus. The city is surrounded by a great Roman wall protecting many of its monumental treasures. Free time to enjoy this jewel of the Middle Ages. Then depart to Salamanca, a university city par excellence boasting one of the oldest universities in Europe. The town is also known worldwide for its artistic richness: cathedrals, palaces, churches of various styles. In the afternoon we will have a city tour that includes visiting the Plaza Mayor, Casa de las Conchas, the New Cathedral, the Old Cathedral and University. At night you can enjoy the atmosphere of this lively city. Accommodation.


Breakfast at hotel. Departure towards the border town of Ciudad Rodrigo and old Celtic town famous for its original 11th century town walls, castle and cathedral. Continue via Guarda until we reach the University city of Coimbra, once the capital of Portugal. Coimbra University is one of the oldest ones in Europe and it is famous for its Baroque library. Free time to admire their narrow streets, hanging houses, palaces, chapels and churches, which is a must to see. Departure to Fatima, well know for the Sanctuary of our Lady of Fatima, patroness of Portugal. Overnight.


Breakfast at the hotel. departure to the beautiful medieval town of white-washed Obidos, where we can explore the cobblestone streets and red roofed white houses, sheltered by the impressive city walls. Our next stop will be in Lisbon, the lovely capital city of Portugal, located on the right bank of the Tagus River. You can book an optional dinner Fado show to enjoy the national musical genre of sweet and sad songs of Portugal. Overnight.


Breakfast and overnight, In the morning included a panoramic city tour of Lisbon, passing through the Alfama district, birthplace of St. Anthony and once the old Moorish Quarters, the Belem Tower symbol of Lisbon and the Jeronimous Monastery. Afternoon at leisure. Possibility of an optional tour to see the 3 most visited towns at the outskirts of Lisbon: Sintra world Heritage Town, Cascais and Estoril seaside resorts on the west coast.


Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards the Spanish border to arrive to the World Heritage city of Caceres, with unparalleled historic buildings dating back to the 14th and 16th century. The old quarter is one of the 3 best conserved medieval quarters in Europe. Tour on foot to see the Plaza Mayor and the old medieval district. After our tour we will proceed back to Madrid. Overnight in Madrid.
