Cordoba-gardens Andalucia tour

From Barcelona travel to Madrid and sunny Andalucia famous for its fiery music, beautiful Moorish architecture. On the way back to Madrid visit the medieval town of Toledo known for its religious tolerance and advanced culture during the Middle Ages

Option (A) Take the high speed AVE train to Madrid without stopping in Zaragoza. (Duration 3 hours).  
(B) Coach from Barcelona with a stop in the Aragonian capital, Zaragoza, free time to visit the Baroque architutecture of the Basilic Temple of Our Lady Pliar and walk around the historic core of the town on your own. Continue to Madrid for overnight. (Duration 10 hours). 

After breakfast pick up from your hotel to get the coach at the Plaza de Oriente for and 8.30 am departure to the region of Andalucia. Drive through La Mancha, the land on Don Quixote to arrive in Cordoba  famous for its Mosque, a UNESCO heritage site and the old town with its white washed alleys and hidden patios. Walk though the old Jewish quarter, then we continue to Seville for overnight.

Day 3 (Tue) SEVILLA
After breakfast at the hotel we embark on a panoramic city tour. See the Barrio de Santa Cruz, background for the opera Carmen, the Maria Louisa Park and the Plaza Espana with its attractive buildings. We will also walk by the cathedral and the old town. The afternoon is free for your own activities. In the evening you will have the option to attend an authentic Flamenco performance show.


Breakfast, following of the route of the ancient Moorish caliphate we depart to Granada, driving by acres and acres of olive trees. Arrive at Granada and visit Spain's most visited tourist site, the former Moorish stronghold of the Alhambra with it beautiful Generalife Gardens of hidden ponds, springs, ruse gardens and rooms carved like lace. In the evening optional show at the authentic Moorish neighborhood of Sacromonte.

Breakfast. Departure toward Toledo, an other world heritage city considered the most advanced and cultured European city during the Middle Ages with its well known religious tolerance towards Moors and Jews alike. Marvel the view of the city built around  the shores of the Tajo river and walk the ancient narrow streets and building of typical Mudehar architecture. In the afternoon return to Madrid. End of the tour. Extra nights can be added.
