1st Day (Mon.) Take the train from Barcelona to Madrid.

Depart from “Sants” train station in Barcelona on the high-speed train to Madrid and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink and orientation session at the hotel this evening.

2nd Day (Tue.) Madrid

After breakfast take a morning tour of Madrid where you will discover the medieval origins of the city, such as the Arabic fortress, at the Barrio de la Morería. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterized by its Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; the Royal Palace (tour the inside), Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. Admire the Prado Museum and contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste, as well as commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. The rest of the day is free to continue exploring the wonders that the city has to offer. Accommodation at the hotel.

3rd Day (Wed.) Madrid, Cordoba and Seville

Depart by coach at 08:30 a.m. and drive along La Mancha, the land of Don Quixote. Enjoy a brief stop at a typical Spanish site in Puerto Lapice. Cross through the natural border of “Despeñaperros” into Andalusia, a region for with enormous heritage from a splendid past. After reaching Cordoba, tour the impressive Mosque and stroll through the Jewish Quarter’s narrow winding streets. In the afternoon, travel to Seville on a short two-hour ride. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

4th Day (Thu.) Seville

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning Monumental and Panoramic city tour: the interior of the Cathedral (the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome), Santa Cruz quarter (a natural scenario of “Carmen” as well as a precisely where the myth of “Don Juan” developed), Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. Afternoon at leisure for you to discover exclusive views, specific flavors of this active full of light city. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Optional Flamenco tour.

5th Day (Fri.) Seville, Granada

After breakfast, drive east through the Caliphate road to the heart of Andalusia through endless olive trees on the way to Granada the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms in 1492. Visit the world famous Alhambra complex and Generalife Gardens that inspired authors such as W. Irving who wrote the “Tales of the Alhambra”. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Optional Gipsy Flamenco show at Sacromonte quarter.

6th Day (Sat.) Granada, Toledo, Madrid

Drive northward toward Castilla, surrounded by the Tagus River, and the impressive Imperial city of Toledo (UNESCO World Heritage City) where the Christian, Moorish and Jewish cultures lived together. Join a short guided tour of this historical old town through its narrow streets. Then visit a famous “Damasquinado” (gold and silver inlaying in iron) factory. Continue to Madrid for accommodations at the hotel. 

7th Day (Sun.) Madrid

Breakfast at the hotel and the end of the tour.
