1 ST DAY Saturday – MADRID – ZARAGOZA – SAN SEBASTIAN
Departure from our bus Terminal at 09.00AM., towards Zaragoza. Free time to visit the Basilica of Our
Lady of The Pilar, patroness of Hispanity and stroll through the old streets of
Zaragoza. In the afternoon we will continue to San Sebastian, its one of the
most famous tourist destinations where they hold the International Film Festival.
Panoramic city tour of this French style bourgeois city, seeing the
extraordinary landscape dominated by the bay and the magnificent Conchas beach.
2ND DAY Sunday – SAN SEBASTIAN – BILBAO – CASTRO URDIALES – SANTANDER
Breakfast at hotel. We will approach Mount Igueldo to delight in lovely views of the city and
the crescent shaped bay, then proceed towards Bilbao. Panoramic drive in Bilbao and free time on the esplanade where The Guggenheim Museum is located
with its flamboyant outside design. Proceed to the old
fishing village “Castro Urdiales”. Free time for a typical fishermen's lunch on
your own or to visit the local castle and walk around the seashore. Departure to Santander, its a port
city located between the sea and the mountains, well known for its Sardinero
Beach, one of the best known beaches in Spain. Free time to stroll through this
elegant city and promenade. Overnight.
3 RD DAY Monday SANTANDER – SANTILLANA – COVADONGA – OVIEDO
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Santillana, its one of the most authentic
medieval towns in Spain. It contains architectural treasures such as
the Collegiate of Santa Juiliana, a Jewel of the Romanesque architecture in
Cantabria. Continue to Covadonga, where you will have free time to see the
Sanctuary and the Grotto with the patroness of Asturias, our Lady
of Covadonga. In the afternoon, departure to Oviedo, where you will see on a
series of hills the beauty of Saint Maria de Naranco Church, Jewel of the pre-Romanic
Asturian architecture. Free time to explore Oviedo, many of their
streets are pedestrian, where you will be able to see World Heritage sites like
The Cathedral, a splendid example of Asturian Gothic. Overnight.
4TH DAY Tuesday OVIEDO – GIJON – CUDILLERO – LUGO
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Gijon, panoramic city tour and then proceed to
Cudillero, one of the most picturesque fishing villages in Spain with its lovely
vistas and white houses hanging on to a steep hillside. In the
afternoon depart to Lugo, which holds one of the most impressive roman ramparts
with a perimeter of 2266 meters in circumference, a designated World Heritage
We suggest a leisurely stroll on the top of the historic Roman walls surrounding
the old town. Overnight.
5TH DAY Wednesday – LUGO – La CORUÑA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to La Coruña. Brief panoramic drive through
the main avenues of the city along the Marine Avenue to admire
the elegance of this city with the typical Galician architecture of glass house
galleries. Brief stop at one of the wonders of the world the oldest working
lighthouse the “ Tower of Hercules” dating back to the Roman period. Afternoon
at leisure where you can assist an optional tour to the Rias Altas nearby
villages at the estuaries of the Northern rivers heading to the Atlantic. Overnight.
6TH DAY Thursday – La CORUÑA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Santiago de Compostela a UNESCO World Heritage
town as it is one of the most important center of Christian Pilgrimages in Spain as
the end of the Camino de Santiago route built during the Roman Empire. City tour
where we will see the main square called Obradoiro and also the Cathedral (
entrance included ) dedicated to the Apostle Santiago. Afternoon free at leisure
to explore the narrow cobblestone streets and get the feel of the middle ages. Overnight.
7TH DAY Friday – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – RIAS BAJAS – LA TOJA – VIGO
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards one of the most picturesque areas of
Galicia, the Rias Bajas. Driving through this lovely landscape we will
arrive to la Toja Island, known for its spa. Free time and continue
to the Ria de Arosa, passing through Pontevedra to arrive to Vigo, situated in
the middle of the Rias Baixas area.. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy this lively city or
an optional tour to Bayona and Santa Tecla to see the old Celtic remains
located on top of the hill of Santa Tecla with impressive views of the Miño River
and over to Portugal. Overnight.
8TH DAY Saturday – VIGO - SALAMANCA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Salamanca following The Old Silver Route
built during the roman times. On arrival free time in this world renowned city
with one of the oldest universities in Europe, the magnificent Plaza Mayor, the
Shells House, old and new Cathedral. Overnight.
9TH DAY Sunday – SALAMANCA – CIUDAD RODRIGO – COIMBRA -FATIMA
Breakfast at hotel. Departure towards the border town of Ciudad Rodrigo and old
Celtic settlement with the cstle and town hwalls dating back to the 12th
century. Continue via Guarda until we reach the University town of Coimbra,
one of the oldest in Europe and once the capital of Portugal. Free time to
admire their narrow streets, hanging houses, palaces, chapels and churches,
which is a must to see. Arrival at Fatima, free time to visit the sanctuary on
your own. Overnight.
10TH DAY Monday – FATIMA – OBIDOS – LISBON
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Obidos, where we can explore
the white washed cobblestone streets and red roofed white houses, sheltered by the impressive
city walls. Our next stop will be in Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal,
located on the right bank of the Tagus River. Tonight optional dinner with Fado
show, the national song of Portugal and a must to see. Overnight. We have to
reserve the Fado show in advance.
11TH DAY Tuesday – LISBON
Breakfast and overnight, In the morning a panoramic city tour of
Lisbon, passing through the Alfama district, birthplace of St. Anthonyand once
the old Moorish Quarters, the Belem Tower symbol of Lisbon and the Jeronimous
Monastery. Afternoon at leisure to explore the city on your own or join an optional tour to see the
west Atlantic coast with Sintra world Heritage Town and castle, Cascais and Estoril seaside resorts.
12TH DAY Wednesday – LISBON – CÁCERES – SEVILLE
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards the Spanish border to arrive to the
World Heritage city of Caceres, with its fortified buildings dating
back from the 14th and 16th century to the age when two religious powers fought
for supremacy in Iberia. The old town is one of the 3 best
conserved medieval quarters in Europe. Tour on foot to see the Plaza Mayor and
the old medieval district. After our tour continue to Sevilla. Overnight.
13TH DAY Thursday – SEVILLE
Breakfast and overnight. Morning panoramic and monumental city tour, where we
will come in contact with this magnificent city, driving through Maria Luisas
Park, The University, Americas Square and The Pavilions built in 1929 for the
Iberoamerican Fair. Following the panoramic tour we will continue on foot from
the Murillo Gardens towards the old “Santa Cruz” quarters. Brief stop. We will
then proceed to the Cathedral (entrance included) where we will also see the
symbol of Seville, The Giralda Tower once the minaret of the Mosque and today
the belfry of the Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure where you can attend an
optional artistic tour or visit on your own the magnificent Alcazar royal
palace, the oldest still in use royal palace in Europe. In the late afternoon, possibility of attending the
finest Flamenco Show in Spain.
14TH DAY Friday – SEVILLE – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Ronda, passing through the Route of the
White Villages to arrive to Ronda. Ronda is one of the oldest
cities in Spain, whose origins date back to the Neolithic Period. Free time to
explore the main sites of Ronda, from the Tajo Gorge to enjoy an unforgettable
view of the city to the oldest bullring in Spain, considered the symbol and soul
of Ronda. In the afternoon departure to the international beachside resort La
Costa del Sol. Dinner and overnight.
15TH DAY Saturday – COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time till midmorning to then proceed to Granada
at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Tour of
the most visited monument in Spain, a UNESCO World Heritage monument, the Alhambra where
we will be seeing the Nazarite Palaces and the Generalife Gardens (entrance
included) outstanding testimonies of former Moorish opulence and power. Overnight.
16TH DAY Sunday – GRANADA – TOLEDO – MADRID
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Toledo, the most prosperous and forward
thinking city of the 9th century Europe, known for its religious tolerance. Tour of this
museum city of authentic medieval buildings a UNESCO
declared World Heritage site. On arrival panoramic drive around Toledo for a
great view and then
proceed on foot to visit the historical old town. We will enter the Catheral
(entrance included), Santo Tome which in its interior holds one of the
masterpieces of El Greco, “The burial of the count of Orgaz” (entrance included)
and finally we will proceed towards the former Jewish Quarters to see the
synagogue of St. Maria La Blanca. Afternoon departure back to Madrid. End of
